SUPERMARKET CARDS/VOUCHERS: If you buy Gift Cards for Tescos or Sainsburys from the Church you can help to raise funds to clear the Parish debt. These are available before and after each weekend Mass in the Reconciliation Room.
Last week we raised £176 and have now raised £9,290 since we started in March 2007. Our total for this year is £1,507. Well done. Please keep up the good work. Thanks to all who support this especially those helpers before and after Mass without whom we would be unable to run the scheme
- please give this your full support.
Remember it is money for nothing.
If you are new to the Parish or you do not know about the scheme which we operate in order to reduce the parish debt created when the church was renovated some three or so years ago, then please have a word with Fr. John.
The essential feature of the scheme is that it will not cost you 1p, but the parish will benefit by your use of gift cards/vouchers used at Tesco or Sainsbury's - you still will get your club card points.
The discount we have received for the month of May compared with last year was as follows:
1st Week May 2008 - £205; 2007 - £194
2nd Week May 2008 - £157; 2007 - £156
3rd Week May 2008 - £172; 2007 - £177
4th Week May 2008 - £167; 2007 - £202
Total 2008 - £701; 2007 - £729

100 CLUB LOTTERY: The draw will take place on the first Sunday of each month in the Hall after 10.30 a.m. Mass. Prizes each month are £50, £30, £10 and two prizes of £5 each. New members can join at any time.

The new draw will commence in June. Prizes £50; £30; £10 plus two further prizes of £5 each. Subscribtions £50 for 12 months, 26 for 6 months. (Cheques payable to Ware Catholic Church). If you want to be in the June draw, please put your application form and subscription in to Fr. John this week. Application forms are available on the table at the back of the church.
FOREIGN CURRENCY: Many thanks to all of you who continue to put foreign notes and coins in our 'Builders Bucket', which is in the porch for each Sunday Mass. Please keep up the good work.
CAKE & PRODUCE STALL: Stalls will be held on the first weekend of each month. Thanks to those who continually give their support to bring the church debt down, but more makers of cakes, jams, etc. and or buyers would be welcome. The Amount raised on the first weekend in April was £98.40. Many thanks for your support.
PARISH BBQ: Thanks to all who arranged or attended the Annual Parish Barbeque last Sunday. The amount raised for our Parish Restoration Fund was £332.
WARE CARNIVAL: Saturday 5th July. We are again having a 'bottle tombola' at this annual event. Once again we ask you to be generous and to donate 'full' bottles of anything. It does not have to be alcohol. Boxes will be placed in the Church Porch from next weekend for any bottles that you may wish to donate. All proceeds go to our Church Restoration Fund. Thank you.
GREETING CARDS: The greeting cards of the Church are available in the Repository in the Reconciliation Room at the front of the Church after Mass.
